I have tried a couple of different reusable bags but my faverote has to be my onya bags, they come in all colours. The best thing about them is that they fold up in to a pouch which you can clip on to your hand bag. They are made from parachute material which makes them really strong.

I have got very exited about a new onya pouch which has bags in for your veg, they don’t weigh anything and can be used as a colander. I don’tknow about you but i am getting a little sick of seeing the plastic bags for your veg and fruit. I tend just to leave them loose to the annoyance of whoever is serving me. Someone did try and pack some fruit for me at the checkout now if i wanted it in a plastic bag i would have put it in one myself.

Did you know? The 9 major supermarket chains give away 17.5 billion plastic bags a year! (Packaging Today 19th April 2004)

I have recently found them on

http://www.soorganic.com/manufacturers.php?brand=onya+bags&manufacturerid=77

they sell them for:

  • doggy poop – A pouch that holds biodegradable sacks
  • normal shop – As shown in picture (i use these all the time)
  • big shop – As above but bigger (going to get 2 for my town shopping)
  • pack packs – double strap with zip and all folds into a pouch
  • shoulder – A single strap with zip
  • veg bags – A pouch that holds all your veggie bags.
