This is a cleansing lotion to use with washable wipes or cotton wool. It is to be used to clean baby bottoms at nappy change time.
First you will need two chamomile tea-bags, poor boiling water over the teabags and stand for 15 minutes. Then you will need to poor 30ml of lukewarm water tea into a jug. add 1 tbsp of hemp oil (if your baby is over 1 year then add 1 tbsp of pasteurised runny honey) wisk well. Put the ingredients in a refillable glass spray bottle. shake well. You can use this straight away.
When it is nappy time shake well and spray on your cloth or cotton wool. Make up a new batch every couple of days. Keep refrigerated.
I do not intend to buy any baby wipes because these don’t biodegrade for 100’s of years, and there is absolutely no point to them.

Well with 8 weeks to go (give or take a couple). Everything we need is either on its way or here. This time around i have really minimised what i have got. i have only bought what i really need for the first 3 months. I have only bought what i can sell again so nothing will be wasted, i have even bought second hand things from ebay so i am not creating more waste, but using products that are all ready in circulation. Somethings are new that i couldn’t find on ebay. my grow bags are 100% organic which have long arms for winter (not the easiest things to find) they will last until about 9 months. My early nappies are wiona 100% biodegradable and free from chemicals (just for the first few weeks until i get my strength back). My wipes however are washable. My pram was a ex- display model of ebay which saved me over £100 and it was good quality, i can sell this in 3 years time and it will sell because its good quality, i bought a silver cross in the end which is a uk based company.
I have not gone for breast pads but lily pads which are easy to use and easy to sell when i have finished with them. I only need one pair and i can wear them with out a bra as well which would be really great for night times.
Every time i thought of something that i wanted I had to think do i really need it, could we live without it, this has saved us so much money and i do not have a cluttered house (well not from baby anyway).

These are costly things and most of them made from plastics. I found with my first baby that they split easily and there is nowhere to recycle them. They are a product that is really not needed, i do feel that it is something that was made for us to think that we need it. Well its an item this time i am going to leave alone, i am not going to spend money on a mat when i have a really comfy play mat (which was made by a relative) and a towel.
If you really think you need a changing mat i have found this one
This is the first ever memory foam changing mat it is designed to fit your baby neatly and free from pvc.
Easy wipe clean.
The changing mat comes with a 100% cotton and towelling, machine washable liner.
A travel bag is also included.

I have found my reusable nappies and i have found my reusable wipes, i have now found the cleaner to use with the wipes. This product is called baby botty wet wipe mix. I hound it at treehuggaz. You dilute it with water and use it as a bottom cleanser at nappy changing time. It is 100% naturla and has great reviews. i am not going to use baby wipes at all so this is a great product to use use with your reusable wipes.
unfortunatlly treehuggaz only sell there product though other companies.

After a lot of looking and debating i have found the nappies i am going to get for our new baby. Little lamb sell different sized packs from one nappy to a 40 pack.
They come in three different types of material, Bamboo, Cotton and Microfiber.
I am getting the birth to potty pack, probably in the bamboo.
This has probably been the most confusing baby item i have ever had to find it has taken me about 2 months. There are so many different types of nappies and companies that sell them. It made my head spin at one point i even thought about opting out because of the confusion. Now a sigh of relief because i have finally found them.
These are an example of there trail packs

Bamboo

Cotton

Microfiber
This website is simple and it only sells one type so i have been set on these ever since i have found the website. I can’t wait to be able to try them out and review them for you.

This is what my new baby is going to sleep in for the first 12 months of its life. This one is made from raw cotton so there is no bleaches or dyes involved at all. It is just like the feeling of being in the womb and a lot of reviews i have read say that it is amazing and they could not live with out it. Baby is more settled and sleeps better. It does come in a blue or white but i don’t want mine tampered with. You can get an extra mattress and sling for the frame. It is washable so use one and then wash one, this is how i was thinking of doing it. A mosquito net is available if you want to use it outside. It disassembles quickly and folds into a bag which could then be used as a travel cot.
By 18 months my youngest was able to get out of his cot so this time i am not going to get a cot there going straight into a bed from this natures nest.
Also for later when he/she gets bigger they have a bouncer attachment for it, i’m not sure about this yet but i do have plenty of time before i need to think about it.
Amby Natures Nest. I hope this website will be useful, it is full of reviews and you can find out the history of the natures nest. Also you will be able to find your nearest shop that stocks it.

This time i refuse to use baby wipes, i will wipe with water and a damp cloth. I don’t see the point of buying reusable nappies and then wasting money on wipes, they’ll just get put in the same bucket as the nappies and then all be cleaned ready to use again. i dislike baby wipes because the packets they come in are plastics which will take years to decompose, and the wipe itself could have anything in it, I’m just not keen. Baby wipes take so long to biodegrade that they clog up our landfill. The worst thing i heard was that people actually through them down the toilet, this leads to blockages and then garden flooding which i know all about.

Car seat
I know a car isnt eco friendly but when James is about to take us on longer journey’s the car seat i am going to get just one that will last from birth to 4years . There is no need for my baby to be carried around in a car seat so i am not going to use the early ones.
My car seat i will buy new because i need to know that it has not been in an accedent and my baby is going to be safe.

Sling
Sometimes it isn’t going to be practical to use the pram, and with not having the car seat i have chosen a sling. So baby. You can cuddle up close and even descreatly breast feed whilst there in it. I’ll probably get natural because it has not been tampered with.
I have a pram if i really need to use it so there is no point in buying a new one, it would not be that ethical of me to do so, even though i have been on the look out. I don’t see the point in selling one to get another.
