Well i thought i would write an update at 3 months with my website, I still have not got my family 100% committed to my eco life style especially with my husband and the plastic bags. I am starting to realise that just because i am 100% committed i can’t rush the others. I showed James the cotton baby wipes the other night and he looked at them in horror. Something he will just have to get used to. I did buy him a pack of wiona nappies which are fully biodegradable and chemical free. This is only because i might need a bit of help straight after birth.

My children are easier to train, after buying them there eco worrier jumpers they don’t mind me reminding them that if they want to be an eco worrier then they will have to change, the key is communication and explanation. They thrive of it knowing there looking after the place they live.

We are now all set for the arrival of our baby no.3, i managed to find alot of second hand clothes from ebay , i didn’t see any point in buying more things when other people have bits they don’t need and it is only warn for three months so i can keep them nice and pass them on when i’m finished with them.

I am happy now that my home does not have any chemical cleaning products in it i am at the moment happy with the soap nuts (even though they need to travel over here) i use them for everything.

My home is no eco paradise at the moment so my concentrations lye there until i am to big to move, then when all is sorted out then i can slowly start looking into baby options. At least then all the unsafe things will be out of my home before Christmas.

Its only with being pregnant that i have really thought about it, I can’t take anything for my cold so its a good time to find alternatives to medicine.

I didn’t know this but it is better to cover one nostril at a time when blowing you nose.

We are going to try Organic Honey and Lemon to drink because its supposed to cut through nasal congestion (lemons and honey are from Able and Cole)

We also have vapor rub to clear up the boys.

I am now on a hunt for the best alternatives for different illnesses.

When me and my husband decided to plan for our 3rd and final child, It made me realise how wasteful i had been with my other two boys. This is my journey to discover what a child really needs. and what things are pushed upon us by companies targeting new mums. I have bought and sold so many items that my children probably can’t even remember they have had. which when it comes down to it is a waste of money as well as materials.

This time around is going to be different i am not going to start buying everything i don’t need this means less time out shopping, which is never a bad thing. I think the hardest thing will be is to stop people buying presants. I already have two children and they have more than enough toys to spare from when they were young. plus a baby does not need any toys only family comuntication.

This time around i’m going organic nappies and clothes, and i am not going mad with them either, there is no point wasting money when i don’t need to.

I can’t say what i am having because some my family don’t want to know what it is so i can’t say.

This is actually more difficult than i first realised, and it is going to take a lot longer as well. so i am going to have to start small and then build them up especially James. I know its easyer for me because i want the change but not everyone does, and you can’t change someone overnight.

I suppose with us not being completly eco yet (were using up) it does not help.I am hoping that everyone will take me seriously eventually. I am 100% commited to this so i do hope that people will understand my views and not judge me. I can’t change other peoples views only let them know what mine are and hopefully they can respected my wishes.
