My mum told me that Onya are now selling wrapping bags which come in different sizes, i think these are great. Recently my eldest Kieran has been invited to lots of birthday party’s instead of wrapping paper i just bought really nice bags from clinton cards these can be reused there so nice. For mothers day i bought a nice present but then put it in a nice wash bag from Cath Kidston.
These bags i thought were such a great idea, when you resieve one you could recycle it by passing it on to someone else It is such a great idea.

We used to live with out these gadgets but now there everywhere. There are millions of mobile phones in the uk and about 20 million in draws unused. I do own one, it gets used when i go out and my son is at school other than that i keep it turned off to save the battery,
Next time your survice provider asked you if you would like an upgrade, why not say no (unless your old one is broken).
Some parts of mobile phones contain toxic materials so you need to dispose of your old mobile phone properly. Don’t put them in the rubbish to end up in landfill sites. Car phone warehouse reuse mobiles so if your going to throw it away why not give it to them or a mobile bank.

These are my next purchase when i run out of my tesco non bio powder (at the moment i am using a smaller amount so could be a another 2 weeks)
These are grown naturally from a soap nut tree
Soapods are easy to use, So organics sell them with a small bag that you put 6-8 pods and then simply pop in with your washing. You can use them up to three times. And because they have a completely neutral odour, you can add essential oils to the water to give your washing a personal fragrance. When you’ve finished with the pods simply through them in with your compost. Summer naturals sell them in bulk with out the bags so you can save on materials.
A 190g bag contains enough for approximately 25 washes, using 7 soap nuts per bag for 3 washes each.

Saves you money: Up to 50% cheaper than other washing products & No need for fabric conditioner.

I am from a hard water area and i am not so keen on my water so i invested in a water filter kettle, I was going to stop using it until i descoverd that there are recycling bins for our filters i have thrown away about 12 of these filters into landfil and couldn’t justify doing so anymore.
Click on the link and find out were you can recycle your brita filter cartrage.
http://www.brita.net/uk/stockist_finder.html?cat=&scat=&L=1&promotion=yes1&recycling=1
I do plan to wrap the filter back in to its orginal packaging before posting it in the recycle bin.
I did find out today that my local Robert Dyas has a collection point.

My council is pretty amazing when it comes to recycling compost, in my brown bin goes uncooked food (anything) cooked food (scrape your plate) and then all your basics. I have been thinking about all my biodegradable plastics and how there better off in my garden than they are in landfill. So my next step is to order a special compost bin from our council and start making my own compost. I will put some veg peelings grass and the plastics in it, i hope it will be ready for when me and my boys start growing owe vegatables which they are really exited about.
